Post-doc position at Procter & GambleFollowing an award of an 6th EU Framework Integrated project OSIRIS, we have a postdoctoral position to develop new methods/software tools linking chemoinformatics with decision analysis to develop optimal testing strategies for chemicals management. The idea is to move away from the prescribed set of safety tests to adaptive testing that brings maximum information. The subgoals of the project will be to review existing decision analyses tools and methods, especially from medical decision making field; conduct research how to adapt the decision tools to the field of toxicology, and apply in real case studies (e.g skin sensitization).Requirements: We are looking for recent PhDs who are expert in system analysis, Bayesian nets, dynamic decision analysis, machine learning algorithms interested in applying her/his creativity and innovative thinking in developing solutions to complex problems. The candidate must be a self-starter who knows how to learn and is interested in broadening his/her knowledge. Knowledge of decision analysis software/ Bayesian nets software is necessary. Background in chemoinformatics/computational chemistry is desired but exceptionally good candidates without this background will be also considered. Proficiency in programming, including Java, development of Web services and tools is also welcomed. The work will involve working in the interdisciplinary team of experts in mathematics, chemoinformatics and computer science. Communication skills and a good team spirit are of a great importance to be able to contribute to the progress of this project.
